About “Tender Beast”
Tender Beast is a visual universe built around a fictitious humanlike species, tracing its passage from early man to modern humanity. Along this journey, I explore what was lost—innocence, magic, harmony with nature—and what remains: instinct, survival, and the fragile bridge between the wild and the civilized. More than 100 drawings, created in pigment liner and colored pencil on paper, unfold through richly populated scenes where irony and quiet humor coexist with myth, ritual, and tragedy.
Tender Beast invites viewers into this invented mythology not as a nostalgic retreat but as a mirror. Confronting the rise and fall of this alternate humanity, we are asked to reflect on our own condition and on the qualities that might help us endure chaos. Despite the darkness, Tender Beast leaves space for hope and resilience—that even this turbulent age will one day pass.
